My name is Karie Crawford and I am a professional tutor. Since my freshman year in college (which is longer ago than I'd like to admit), I've been helping others revise and enhance their papers. Since graduating with my master's degree in English, I've continued to help students improve their writing and study skills.
Last year I was employed by a professional tutoring agency. I loved being able to work with parents and students to polish the students' writing abilities and study skills. On the other hand, I was shocked at how much the agency was getting paid--over $40 an hour!
I think there's a solution: Tutoring from my home here in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford area for less than half of what my former employer charged--$15 for a one hour session. I have extensive experience in tutoring writing and literature, as well as a good working knowledge of world history, US history, language arts, and study skills. Because I homeschool my own children, I have a flexible schedule and can tutor in the afternoons, between 3:30 and 5:30pm, as well as selected evenings.
